Following the official announcement of the acquisition of BluTV by Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), BluTV founder Aydın Doğan Yalçındağ shared a post on his x account. While confirming the sale, Yalçındağ pointed to the success of BluTV.

Hello everyone,
I would like to share an important news with you. As of today, our business partner Warner Bros. Discovery is taking over 100% shares of BluTV.
There are many things to say, but first of all, I must say this: We have achieved a great success. Warner Bros. Discovery is one of the world’s largest and well-established media companies. It is an honour to entrust BluTV to them.
In the past 8 years, we have made BluTV one of the biggest media platforms in Turkey with more than 60 original content. It should be known that behind this success of BluTV was an incredibly resilient team that worked tirelessly and never lost its faith and energy. Working with this team was the biggest gain of the past 8 years for me. I sincerely congratulate all my colleagues who have worked with us from the beginning and joined our team during the process.
Of course, it is sad to separate ways with BluTV. As far as I am concerned, we are still at the beginning of the road. But I have no doubt that BluTV will come to better places with WBD.
